Displaying AJ_InternshipCareerWkshp_PRESS.jpgDisplaying AJ_InternshipCareerWkshp_PRESS.jpgI’m pleased to announce that the UHH Administration of Justice Program will be hosting an internship and career workshop for students on Saturday 4/23, 10 am – 1 pm. I’ve attached the poster for this event. It will be an interactive event with speakers from different justice-related agencies in Hilo, a student panel, and talk story sessions. Pupus will be served.

Please announce to your students. This is a great opportunity for our students to learn about career possibilities and to network with practitioners in the field.
I hope that you can join us as well!
Best,
Katie Young

AboutUsImage

REAL Change Organizing and Advocacy Fellowship is looking for future young leaders interested in global issues! Applications for the 2016-17 fellowship are now being accepted. RESULTS is an international non-profit based in Washington, DC. They advocate for the end of poverty in the US and across the world by promoting access to health, education, and economic opportunity. Our model is to train everyday community members on how to advocate with members of Congress and influence them around the issues we care about.

This fellowship starts out in Washington DC at an International Conference in June. Fellows will have a chance to hear from leading development experts, attend workshops on advocacy and community leadership, and bring their new skills to Capitol Hill to meet with members of Congress about pressing global issues. They continue the remainder of their fellowship at home, building a local movement to address global issues. RESULTS will cover airfare, hotel, and some food for fellows during their initial trip to DC. Application deadline is April 30.
